Can The Season Please Start

These have to be the most difficult moments for a baseball fan. The season has ‘officially’ started, but it hasn’t really. And it’s so close, but not here yet.

So, in the meantime, we continue to prepare for the season. We write up organizational rankings of the teams (I wrote about the Mets at #20 last week), we talk about why Jason Bay is in trouble, we write up our fantasy sleepers, and we write about scoresheet baseball, or at least that’s what I did.

The biggest news of the week might be sorta local, though. Tim Lincecum is, at least temporarily, scrapping his slider. The slider (and the curve) put the most stress on the elbow, and he wants to save his bullets. The optimist says, sweet, he’s going to be healthier because of this decision. The pessimist says, hey, what’s he hiding and he is already hurting and that’s why he’s scrapped the pitch. I am of both minds.

No baby yet. Sometime soon I bet though.

About enosarris

I write. About baseball, mostly, but also about the anthropology of sports, travel, cooking and sometimes music. But yeah, baseball mostly.
